Tagged Carp: If you catch or shoot a carp with tags here is why

KEEPING YOU INFORMED:KDFWR biologists, in cooperation with TWRA, USFW, Tenn Tech, and Murray State have begun a project to estimate the numbers of SILVER CARP in KY and BARKLEY lakes. Watch the full video for a FULL EXPLANATION of the project. * A small number of silver carp were captured, tagged, and released in each lake to learn more about the current impacts of commercial fishing and predict the future impacts of harvest increases (with the ultimate goal of crashing our Asian carp population.)*please be on the lookout for tagged fish (we have had 2 reported already) **one of the goals of this page is to have the most informed anglers in the country so let us know if you have questions about this project
